Description We are looking for a detail-oriented and proactive Human Resources Clerk to join our team in Torrance, California. In this role, you will support essential HR functions including record maintenance, employee onboarding, and benefits assistance. This is a Contract-to-continuing opportunity within the manufacturing industry, offering a chance to grow your career in a dynamic and supportive environment. Responsibilities: - Maintain and organize both physical and electronic personnel records, such as employment contracts and related documentation. - Update internal HR systems with accurate and timely information about new hires. - Post, update, and remove job advertisements as needed to support recruitment efforts. - Compile and prepare reports and presentations on HR metrics, including hiring statistics by department. - Create and enhance training materials and onboarding resources for new employees. - Address employee inquiries regarding benefits, such as vacation entitlements and other policies. - Ensure compliance with labor laws and HR best practices in all processes. - Handle sensitive employee information with a high degree of confidentiality and professionalism. - Provide approachable and helpful support to employees as a key point of contact for HR concerns. Requirements - Degree or certification in Human Resources or a related field. - Entry-level experience in an HR role is preferred. - Strong verbal and written communication skills. - Familiarity with HR systems such as ADP Workforce Now, Ceridian, and HRMS. - Basic knowledge of labor laws and HR practices. - Ability to manage sensitive information with discretion and confidentiality. - Strong critical thinking skills and ethical judgment. - Customer service skills to effectively address employee needs and concerns.
