At Ryder, we promise transparency and want you to have the actual pay and route details upfront making your decision to join our team easy. + Deliver SOLO To: Yard Jockey and Offsite Fueling + Route: Local Home Daily + Tractor Type: Yard Tractor - Yard experience a must + Trailer Type: Dry Van 48', 53' + Equipment: Cherry Pickers, Order Pickers, Pallet Jacks, Forklifts, etc + Will assist in Warehouse when needed Trucks are 36 months or newer, include 24/7 Roadside Maintenance and Company Drivers fuel up the trucks at over 800 Maintenance Facilities Nationwide. EEO/AA/Female/Minority/Disabled/Veteran **Requirements** + Minimum 21 years of age + Must have verifiable driving experience in "like" equipment: + 9 Months experience in the past 3 years, OR + 2 years' experience within the last 5 years, OR + 5 years' experience within the last 10 years + Pass a Ryder Drug Test + Pass a Ryder Background and Motor vehicle check including Drug and alcohol verification from previous employers for the last 3 years + Pass a DOT physical + Pass a Yard Driver Examination + Must have a valid driver's license + Ability to follow written and/or oral instructions + Ability to read, interpret and apply laws, rules, regulations policies and/or procedures **Important Note:** Some positions require additional screening that may include employment and education verification; motor vehicle records check and a road test; and/or badging or background requirements of the customer to which you are assigned. **Responsibilities** + Primarily responsible for safely handling and maneuvering tractor trailers on the yard, but cannot drive on public roads + The position requires compliance with safety & DOT Regulations, continuous training and customer service **Additional Responsibilities include but are not limited to:** + Ensuring compliance with applicable federal and/or state laws, regulations, and/or agency rules, standards and guidelines + Detecting and eliminating or minimizing safety hazards + Maintaining accurate records and logs + Maintaining accurate move and yard inventory records Other tasks as assigned **_Ryder is proud to be an Equal Opportunity Employer and Drug Free workplace.
