Speech Pathology Resident - Speech & Audiology **Galveston, Texas, United States** **New** Training & Education UTMB Health Requisition # 2507018 **JOB DESCRIPTION:** To provide professional skills in diagnostic evaluation of patients with speech, language, cognitive, oral and pharyngeal swallow function, and to provide habilitative and rehabilitative treatment services under the supervision of a licensed and certified Speech-Language Pathologist. **ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:** Select, administer, and interpret diagnostic tests, plan and conduct treatment for patients with swallowing and communication disorders, demonstrate clinical skills with age specific populations. **MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:** Master's degree, Clinical Fellow eligibility in Speech-Language Pathology from the American Speech-Language Hearing Association, and eligible for Intern license from the Texas State Board of Examiners in Speech-Language Pathology and Audiology. **PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:** Prior Practicum experience in medically based or rehabilitative practices. **SALARY:** Commensurate with experience. **EQUAL EMPLOYMENT OPPORTUNITY:** UTMB Health strives to provide equal opportunity employment without regard to race, color, religion, age, national origin, sex, gender, sexual orientation, gender identity/expression, genetic information, disability, veteran status, or any other basis protected by institutional policy or by federal, state or local laws unless such distinction is required by law.
