Job Description

Position Summary

The National Sales Manager will lead business development efforts for a line of advanced technical data acquisition and measurement solutions across North America. This individual will be responsible for driving revenue growth through new customer acquisition, account management, and strategic channel partnerships. The ideal candidate has a strong technical aptitude, a proven track record in B2B sales, and the ability to build long-term relationships across a range of industries.

Compensation: $73,000 – $87,000 base salary + commission

Key Responsibilities

Customer Engagement & Sales Support

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for customer inquiries, providing technical insights and tailored product recommendations.
  • Conduct in-person and virtual product demonstrations highlighting solution capabilities.
  • Qualify and manage sales leads to ensure timely and accurate handoffs to regional representatives.

Sales Strategy & Collaboration

  • Partner with internal and external sales teams to develop strategic plans that achieve growth targets.
  • Establish and monitor sales goals for direct and channel sales teams.
  • Support channel partners and government accounts with sales enablement and technical expertise.
  • Maintain accurate sales forecasts and analyze performance metrics regularly.

Channel & CRM Management

  • Develop and expand relationships with distributors and sales partners to optimize regional coverage.
  • Maintain CRM integrity by ensuring data accuracy for reporting and forecasting purposes.
  • Oversee the management and allocation of demo equipment inventory.

Training & Product Support

  • Deliver product and application training for internal teams and external partners.
  • Assist customers with technical questions and post-sale support needs.
  • Collaborate with product management to communicate market needs and suggest new features or enhancements.

Marketing & Events

  • Contribute to marketing campaigns, collateral creation, and promotional initiatives.
  • Represent the company at trade shows and industry events, coordinating booth setup and live product demonstrations.
