We are hiring an experienced Controller to join our Team. While utilizing hands-on accounting experience and a comprehensive understanding of accounting principles and company practices, the Controller will perform complex accounting activities and financial analysis.

Responsibilities And Duties

Working as a strategic partner to Leadership, the Controller will be responsible for budget management, capital expenditures, financial analysis, and financial reporting!

  • Supports and guides Business Unit financial decisions by establishing, monitoring, and enforcing policies, procedures and internal controls
  • Prepares budgets by establishing schedules, collecting, analyzing, and consolidating financial data and recommending plans to Business Unit Leader
  • Achieves budget objectives by scheduling expenditures; analyzing variances; initiating corrective actions
  • Provides status of financial condition by collecting, interpreting, and reporting financial data
  • Prepares special reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing data and trends
  • Month end financial reporting and financial statement analysis including plan variances
  • Maintain a documented system of accounting policies and procedures
  • Oversee the accounting operations especially their control systems, transaction-processing operations, and policies and procedures.
  • Maintain the chart of accounts
  • Issue timely and complete financial statements
  • Prepare monthly sales reports
  • Cost Analysis
  • Account reconciliations
  • Other Various Ad Hoc projects

Qualifications And Skills

  • Must have a minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance
  • Candidates must have 2+ years’ prior experience as Accounting Manager or Controller and should have a minimum of 5 years’ accounting or finance experience; Experience working with/in Manufacturing or Distribution companies will be strongly preferred
  • Prior experience working within a publicly traded company is highly desired
  • Prior experience using ERP systems
  • Familiarity with financial automation software and business intelligence tools such as PowerBI or BlackLine
  • Ability to bring strategic thought leadership while providing strong execution of detailed departmental functions
  • A high level of personal integrity (self-esteem, confidence, honesty, and respect)
  • Candidates must have strong accountability and follow-through skills
  • Flexibility and foresight to balance engagement and the business needs
  • Working knowledge of the requirements of the Sarbanes-Oxley Act
  • Candidates must have a dynamic personality with the ability to work and communicate effectively with all team members
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in terms of being clear, concise, and professional
  • Self-motivated with the ability to prioritize multiple projects under tight deadlines and work independently with little to no oversight
