Position Overview:
We are seeking a motivated Communications Assistant to support our communications team. This entry-level role involves assisting with content creation, media outreach, event support, and internal communications. Key Responsibilities:

• Assist with drafting press releases, social media posts, newsletters, and other communications materials

• Support media outreach and relationship-building efforts

• Help coordinate events and community engagement activities

• Monitor and report on media coverage and social media engagement

• Maintain communications databases and contact lists

• Collaborate with team members on campaigns and projects

• Participate in training and professional development opportunities

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree preferred but not required; relevant coursework a plus

• Strong written and verbal communication skills

• Detail-oriented and organized with the ability to manage multiple tasks

• Proactive, eager to learn, and a team player

• Basic knowledge of social media platforms and Microsoft Office Suite

• Experience or interest in public relations, marketing, or nonprofit communications is a plus

• Authorized to work in the U.S.
