Job Title: CAD Technician
Location: Corunna, MI
Position Overview
We are seeking a CAD Technician with basic experience in 2D design to support our laser cutting operations. The primary responsibility will be to generate accurate 2D drawings and convert part requests into usable files for production. While the role will begin with fundamental CAD work, there is potential for growth into more complex parts and processes.
Responsibilities
Produce 2D CAD drawings for laser cutting based on provided requests.
Work with ProgeCAD (AutoCAD equivalent) and SolidWorks to prepare files.
Interpret part requests received in various formats, including PDFs, hand-drawn sketches, and digital files.
Verify accuracy of drawings and ensure compatibility with production requirements.
Maintain organized records of files and documentation.
Collaborate with team members to clarify specifications when needed.
Qualifications
Basic proficiency with CAD software (ProgeCAD, AutoCAD, or SolidWorks).
Ability to read and interpret sketches, technical drawings, and instructions.
Strong attention to detail and accuracy in creating drawings.
Ability to manage multiple requests and meet production timelines.
Willingness to develop skills for more advanced design work as required.
Compensation
$17-20/hr with a wage reevaluation after 90 days!
