Description We are looking for a detail-oriented Entry-Level Accountant to join our team in Long Beach, California. In this Contract-to-Permanent position, you will play a key role in managing financial processes, including reconciliations, journal entries, and tax payments, while gaining valuable experience in the financial services industry. Responsibilities: - Perform daily reconciliations, ensuring accuracy in accounts payable and accounts receivable processes. - Prepare, review, and post journal entries to maintain the integrity of the general ledger. - Conduct account reconciliations, verifying balances and resolving discrepancies in a timely manner. - Assist in preparing and processing tax payments, adhering to compliance standards. - Utilize accounting software systems and ERP solutions to manage financial data effectively. - Analyze financial accounts and provide insights to support decision-making. - Collaborate with team members to ensure all accounting functions are completed accurately and on schedule. - Apply account coding principles to categorize and organize financial transactions. - Prepare financial reports and summaries to support audits and internal reviews. - Maintain and update financial documentation using tools such as Adobe Acrobat. Requirements - Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field, or equivalent experience. - Knowledge of accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general accounting practices. - Proficiency in accounting software systems, ERP solutions, and tools such as Dynamics NAV. - Strong skills in account reconciliation and journal entry preparation. - Familiarity with Adobe Acrobat and other financial documentation tools. - Excellent attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously. - Previous experience in the financial services industry, particularly in credit unions or banking, is a plus. - Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a focus on accuracy and efficiency.
