Description The Artificial Intelligence (AI) Systems Design team is part of Amazon's Devices and Services Design organization. Our central design studio is responsible for the UX of Echo Family Devices, Alexa Mobile, Fire TV, Fire Tablets and more. Our mission is to bring to life delightful, easy-to-use, and high value experiences for our customers.
Key job responsibilities
As a Visual UX Designer, you will be hands on, working alongside a talented team of designers and technologists, and focused on the digital aesthetics of our future AI Systems. You will utilize your strong understanding of visual systems and best practices, including layout, color palette, typography, iconography and illustrations. You are at ease visualizing an experience in the abstract, building consensus, and then driving that vision into concise design deliverables. As a tastemaker and visual storyteller, you will advocate for design excellence and help create meaningful, emotional connection between customers and our products.
Basic Qualifications - 3+ years of delivering design solutions as a UX designer or interaction designer experience
- Have an available online portfolio
- Experience designing and prototyping with tools such as Figma, ProtoPie, Adobe Creative Cloud, or similar
Preferred Qualifications - A well-crafted portfolio that demonstrates experience creating innovative visual design solutions
- Experience with UX design of complex workflows
- Demonstrates experience crafting design concepts that inform the future vision for a digital product
- Experience art directing motion designers, illustrators, writers and content creators
- Experience working with technical partners for design implementation
- Ability to navigate ambiguity to drive the design cycle and multitask in an fast-paced environment
- Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $106,000/year in our lowest geographic market up to $184,000/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
