Job Title: Registered Respiratory Therapist (Traveler)

Shift: 6:30 AM 7:00 PM | Monday Friday (3 Days/12-Hour Shifts)
Weekly Hours: 36 Hours
Experience Required: Minimum 2 years of clinical experience
Athena Medtech is seeking a dedicated and experienced Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) for a travel assignment in our Respiratory Care Department. This role is ideal for a skilled clinician who excels in both routine and critical care environments, with a commitment to delivering high-quality, patient-centered respiratory care.
Key ResponsibilitiesAssess patients to determine appropriate type and frequency of respiratory therapy based on diagnosis and develop individualized care plans
Implement, manage, and monitor respiratory therapy equipment and treatment protocols
Continuously observe, evaluate, and document patient responses to therapy and communicate changes to the care team
Perform advanced respiratory care procedures and modalities as required
Administer respiratory medications and evaluate effectiveness based on patient outcomes
Provide education to patients and families regarding respiratory conditions, treatments, and available support resources
Respond promptly to emergency situations, including Code Blue resuscitations and rapid response calls
Current RRT credential and state licensure in good standing
Minimum of 2 years' experience in an acute care or critical care setting
Strong clinical assessment and communication skills
Ability to work independently in a fast-paced, high-acuity environment
Previous travel assignment experience preferred but not required
