Job Description:

We are seeking a meticulous and reliable Transcriptionist to convert audio and video recordings into accurate written documents. The ideal candidate will have excellent listening skills, strong attention to detail, and the ability to work efficiently under deadlines. As a Transcriptionist, you will play a crucial role in transforming spoken content into clear, well-organized text for various industries including medical, legal, corporate, or media.

The successful candidate will be responsible for listening to recordings, understanding context, and producing high-quality transcripts that meet client specifications. Familiarity with transcription tools and good command of grammar and punctuation are essential.

Key Responsibilities:

• Listen to audio and video recordings carefully and accurately transcribe spoken words into written format.
• Ensure transcripts are free from errors, typos, and grammatical mistakes.
• Follow provided formatting guidelines and client-specific instructions.
• Maintain confidentiality and security of sensitive information.
• Meet deadlines consistently while maintaining quality standards.
• Edit and proofread transcripts for clarity, accuracy, and completeness.
• Use transcription software and tools to assist with the process.
• Clarify unclear audio segments by consulting with clients or supervisors when necessary.

Qualifications & Skills:

• Proven experience as a transcriptionist or in a similar role.
• Excellent listening and comprehension skills.
• Strong command of grammar, punctuation, and spelling.
• Ability to type quickly and accurately (minimum speed of 60 WPM preferred).
• Familiarity with transcription software such as Express Scribe, Otter.ai, TranscribeMe, or similar.
• Attention to detail and high level of accuracy.
• Ability to work independently and meet tight deadlines.
• Discretion and respect for confidentiality.
