POSITION TITLE: Supply Chain Manager DEPARTMENT: Supply Chain / Operations

POSITION SUMMARY: The Supply Chain Manager is responsible for leading all aspects of warehouse and distribution center (DC) operations to ensure optimal performance in alignment with company goals. This role oversees inventory management, space planning, procurement, logistics, and quality assurance while ensuring regulatory compliance and a safety-first workplace culture. The ideal candidate is a strategic thinker with strong leadership, process optimization, and cross-functional coordination skills, capable of driving measurable improvements across the supply chain.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Operational Leadership - Manage daily operations of the distribution center, ensuring alignment with key performance indicators (KPIs), cost control objectives, and service expectations.
- Set goals for operational efficiency and lead continuous performance monitoring and improvement.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align supply chain activities with broader business strategies.
Process Optimization - Identify and implement improvements in logistics workflows, including receiving, storage, picking, shipping, and returns.
- Lead Lean and Six Sigma initiatives to eliminate waste, reduce costs, and improve productivity.
- Standardize procedures and enforce best practices across the supply chain function.
Inventory Management - Oversee all inventory-related processes, including cycle counts, reconciliation, stock accuracy, and inventory turnover.
- Ensure optimal inventory levels and location strategies to support service levels and reduce holding costs.
- Work closely with procurement and sales teams for accurate demand forecasting and replenishment planning.
Space Planning & Six Sigma - Utilize vertical storage systems and efficient layout design to maximize warehouse capacity.
- Apply Six Sigma and other analytical tools to identify bottlenecks and optimize space utilization and process flows.
Quality Assurance - Maintain high standards for shipment accuracy and product handling quality.
- Lead investigations and corrective actions for any product or process-related quality issues.
- Collaborate with the Quality department to ensure continuous compliance with internal and customer requirements.
Health & Safety Compliance - Ensure adherence to OSHA and other applicable health and safety standards.
- Promote a proactive safety culture through regular audits, training, and risk mitigation initiatives.
Procurement & Facility Support - Source warehouse materials, packaging supplies, and maintenance services to support smooth operations.
- Manage vendor relationships and negotiate contracts for cost-effectiveness.
- Oversee maintenance of equipment and facilities while tracking department budgets and expenditures.
QUALIFICATIONS: Education: - Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Operations Management, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
Experience: - Minimum of 5 to 7 years of progressive experience in supply chain, logistics, or warehouse operations.
- At least 2 to 3 years in a managerial or supervisory role , overseeing teams or departmental functions.
- Experience in process improvement, inventory management, and regulatory compliance is required.
- Industry experience in manufacturing, e-commerce, or distribution is preferred.
Skills & Competencies: - Expertise in inventory management, process optimization, and Six Sigma methodologies (Green Belt or higher preferred).
- Familiarity with Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) and ERP systems.
- Strong understanding of OSHA and safety compliance standards.
- Excellent leadership, organizational, and decision-making skills.
- Effective communication and interpersonal abilities for managing teams and collaborating with other departments.
