Job Description

Must Have Experience: Minimum 10 years in data engineering, data architecture, or a similar role, with at least 3 years in a lead capacity.

Client is seeking an experienced Senior Business Consultant to lead, give guidance, and give expertise for business analysis best practices on our Corrections Information Technology Systems (CITS) project. This role will help identify opportunities for process improvement, enhance operational efficiency, and foster collaboration between technical teams and business stakeholders.

1. Devise an approach to solving complex problems;
2. Exhibit intellectual leadership in the problem-solving effort;
3. Manage conflicting stakeholder expectations;
4. Refocus efforts as issues/problems dynamically change in the client environment;
5. Design and conduct workshops;
6. Identify the appropriate approach, tools, and methodologies to perform analysis and draw conclusions;
7. Full leadership for managing delegated end-to-end creation of project deliverables;
8. Help the team to develop new insights from the analysis;
9. Prioritize the recommendations based on ease of implementation and impact;
10. Provide ongoing updates to Customer and leadership on engagement status;
11. Solicit feedback on interim deliverables;
12. Manage project escalations;
13. Provide subject matter expertise on a specific area within the domain/technology/service; and
14. Exhibit a high level of skills in data aggregation and analysis leading to the development of value propositions in solution development.

Job Qualifications:

  • Have the ability to evaluate existing processes and workflows to identify areas for improvement and optimization.
  • High level of expertise in the communications domain at all levels of leadership with experience in strong writing and organization skills.
  • Expertise in identifying and defining problems, analysis, and developing recommendations;
  • Extensive experience managing consulting engagements; demonstrating strong communication and facilitation skills
  • Specialist in managing the engagement financials & operations; and
  • High level of ethics, judgment, communication, and people skills.

Required Skills:

  • Business analysis experience.
  • Knowledge of Business Consulting and Business Analyst theories and practices applicable to projects that are highly complex in scope.
  • Experience in complex testing, schedule management, project and task tracking, metrics reporting, and documentation.
  • Ability to manage project activities;
    • establish project goals and objectives;
    • analyze complex information and develop plans to address identified issues;
    • identify project risks and gaps; manage multiple work streams;
    • communicate effectively to both individual contributors and C-level executives.

Preferred Skills:

  • State agency or governmental IT experience.

Education and Experience:

  • Ten (10) years of management and technology consulting experience.
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Administration, or a related field, is preferred.
