Job Description

So. Puget Sound- Large Commercial Grounds Care Service Company looking for an experienced full-time Gas/Diesel Service Mechanic.

Education/Certification:

Physically fit, ability to lift 50 lbs. or more.
High School, GED, Trade School and/or continuing education.
History of good employment attendance.
Prefer minimum 5 years of gas, diesel mechanic experience. WA CDL Class A would be a Plus, but not required.

 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Maintain and repair company fleet of light to medium duty trucks and light construction equipment such as Ford F-450’s, Chevy 3500, Kubota loaders and mini excavators.
Routine maintenance and service, including record keeping.
Experience with troubleshooting programs, and databases.
Organized, efficient, and detail oriented.

Required Skills:
Must have a clean Driving Record.
Must have knowledge of diesel/gas truck and heavy equipment repair.
Must have knowledge strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
Strong verbal and written communication skills are a must
Must interact effectively with all departments and divisions as a team.
Ability to manage multiple tasks with accuracy.
Ability to Drive forklifts, loaders and other equipment.

Primary Job Functions:
Perform inspections and routine maintenance on vehicles and equipment.
Install/repair equipment, wheels/brakes, tires, hoses, wiring, engines etc.
Diagnose and repair vehicle electrical systems, starters, alternators, lights.
Diagnose and repair air brake systems.
Perform routine oil changes.
Accurately document the work performed.
