Job Description

Higharc is a VC-backed startup that is changing how new homes are designed and built. Join a founding team who’ve shipped products for Autodesk, Electronic Arts, Nike, and Apple. In 2024, we raised a $53M Series B fundraising round with support from top-notch venture capital firms and more than 18 strategic investors—industry leaders in construction, building products manufacturing, and distribution.

We’re looking for a Senior UX Designer who excels at translating complex systems into intuitive, elegant user experiences. This is a unique opportunity to join a multidisciplinary team—including engineers, architects, and 3D visualization experts—to lead the design of tools that empower homebuilders, buyers, and construction professionals. Your work will directly shape the future of homebuilding.

You’ll own the end-to-end design process—from research and ideation to execution and delivery—while contributing to the broader product vision. As a strategic partner across teams, your contributions will influence how our platform evolves and scales.

What You’ll Do

  • Design End-to-End Experiences: Lead the UX and UI design of web-based tools across Higharc’s platform.
  • Simplify the Complex: Translate detailed workflows into clear, human-centered experiences.
  • Collaborate Cross-Functionally: Work closely with product managers and engineers to ensure cohesive product thinking. Partner closely with homebuilders, suppliers, contractors, and buyers to understand their needs and pain points.
  • Own Design Process: Develop user flows, journey maps, wireframes, prototypes, and high-fidelity visuals to articulate design intent.
  • Influence Product Strategy: Bring a strong, user-focused design perspective to product decisions.
  • Validate with Data: Leverage both qualitative and quantitative user insights to inform and iterate on designs.
  • Champion Design Systems: Contribute to and evolve our design system to ensure consistency and scalability.

About You

You are a strategic, systems-oriented designer who brings clarity to ambiguity and drives meaningful product outcomes. You thrive in fast-paced environments, value collaboration, and are motivated by impact.

Minimum Qualifications

  • 7+ years of experience designing digital products, ideally in B2B SaaS or Enterprise.
  • Demonstrated success shipping end-to-end product experiences.
  • Experience validating interaction patterns and testing new workflows via wireframes and prototypes.
  • Strong portfolio showcasing UX, interaction design, and strategic thinking.
  • Experience designing in ambiguous, evolving product spaces.
  • Clear and confident communicator, comfortable influencing stakeholders at multiple levels.
  • Deep empathy for users with a curiosity-driven mindset.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience designing for technical audiences (e.g., architects, engineers, builders).
  • Familiarity with 3D design environments or CAD tools (e.g., Revit, Rhino, Unity).
  • Exposure to front-end development (React, JavaScript, HTML/CSS).
  • Background or passion in architecture, construction, or home design.
