DESCRIPTION

World Wide Engineering & Innovation (WWEI) is seeking an exceptional Design Engineering Leader to spearhead the development of next-generation sortation systems. This pivotal role will significantly influence both design and process engineering initiatives for the North American Sort Center (NASC), offering the opportunity to lead transformative projects alongside world-class talent.

The ideal candidate will drive the design and implementation of next generation sortation centers and logistics systems globally, focusing on innovation in automated material handling, packaging technologies, and robotics. You'll oversee a diverse portfolio of projects, including new facilities, renovations, and retrofits, while developing end-to-end process designs for fulfillment centers, cross-dock facilities, and transportation hubs. This role requires collaboration with internal and external stakeholders to create cost-effective, scalable solutions that shape the future of logistics.
We're looking for a proven leader with experience in complex engineering projects, a strong background in automation and logistics systems, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment. The successful candidate will demonstrate excellence in problem-solving, strategic thinking, and stakeholder management. Working alongside highly skilled engineering teams, you'll contribute to hundreds of transformative projects annually, with opportunities for professional growth and development.
This position requires 25% global travel to interface with business and technical leaders. In return, we offer the opportunity to work with industry-leading technology and talent, high-impact visible projects, and a diverse project portfolio spanning template-based and ground-up designs. Join our innovative team and help shape the future of global logistics and distribution systems.

As a technical leader, you'll guide large-scale engineering projects from conception to completion, leveraging your expertise to drive innovation and operational excellence. Your ability to communicate effectively will be crucial as you present strategic visions, detailed implementation roadmaps, and technical solutions to senior executives, translating complex engineering concepts into compelling business cases that drive decision-making and secure project support.

Your leadership will be instrumental in shaping the future of our logistics infrastructure, requiring both technical depth and strategic business acumen to deliver solutions that enhance our operational capabilities while maintaining cost efficiency and scalability.
