About the Role
As a Ready-Mix Driver, you’ll be the face of our company, ensuring safe and timely delivery of ready-mix concrete to a variety of projects and customers. You’ll operate modern equipment in both industrial and residential settings, often working independently while knowing our team has your back.
Main Responsibilities
Safely operate ready mix trucks to deliver concrete to job sites and company locations
Conduct daily pre- and post-trip vehicle inspections by DOT standards
Load and unload equipment and materials as needed
Maintain accurate mileage logs and delivery records
Follow all company policies, safety procedures, and traffic laws
Perform minor truck maintenance and keep your vehicle clean and orderly
Support your team and supervisors with additional duties as required
Deliver quality service and represent our company with professionalism and courtesy
What We’re Looking For
Qualifications
High school diploma or GED required
3+ years’ experience driving trucks of similar size and equipment preferred
Valid CDL A or B license required; must maintain an active, clear record
Work Requirements
Must be 18+ years old
Pass a DOT physical, drug screening, and background check
Hold a valid DOT medical card
Commitment to safe work practices and PPE usage (company provided)
Willing to work up to 6 days a week with overtime as needed
Flexible to work nights, weekends, and travel for assignments
Team player with a positive attitude, strong communication, and customer service skills
Ability to train and mentor others if experienced
Meet company, state, and federal driving standards
Knowledge & Skills
Expertise in operating mixer trucks and related equipment
Strong math, recordkeeping, and basic reading skills
Ability to follow written and verbal instructions
Attention to detail and the ability to work both independently and in a team
Experience in securing and transporting heavy or oversized loads
Professional, courteous, and effective communication with customers and coworkers
Physical & Work Environment
Ability to lift to 100 lbs., bend, stoop, squat, and climb as needed
Prolonged sitting and driving may be required
Work in various weather conditions and environments
Exposure to moving parts, noise, and occasionally to chemicals and elevated work areas
Strict adherence to all OSHA/MSHA regulations and safety protocols
