Pay: $25–$60/hour (based on experience)
About the Role:
We are seeking an
experienced Pipefitter for a short-term project in Gary, IN. Our company is a leading general contractor serving the
food and beverage manufacturing industry , specializing in process piping, equipment installation, and plant maintenance.
This project involves installing
miscellaneous piping systems, tanks, and steam lines in a production facility. The ideal candidate will have strong technical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work safely and efficiently in an industrial environment.
Responsibilities:
- Install and assemble piping systems, tanks, and steam pipes according to specifications
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and isometric drawings
- Perform cutting, threading, and welding as required
- Ensure compliance with safety standards and project requirements
- Collaborate with other trades and project managers to meet deadlines
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a pipefitter in industrial or manufacturing settings
- Ability to work with stainless steel and other materials common in food and beverage facilities
- Strong knowledge of piping systems, valves, and fittings
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings
- Reliable transportation to Gary, IN project site
- Commitment to safety and quality workmanship
Schedule & Compensation:
- Project runs February through April
- Pay range: $25–$60/hour, based on experience
