Job Overview:

Assisting physical therapist or occupational therapists with patient care.

Qualifications:

High school Graduate

BLS via AHA

Knowledge of Medical Terminology

Essential Functions:

• Responsibilities will include but are not limited to:
• Assisting physical therapist or occupational therapist with patient care such as:
  • assisting with patient transfers and mobility, patient transport,
  • maintaining treatment area by maintaining supply and linen inventory,
  • changing sheets and pillow cases;
  • general housekeeping, retrieving and cleaning equipment including medical equipment;
  • assist in clerical needs of department such as answering phones and taking messages;
  • communication with nursing or other healthcare providers; direct communication with office staff and Physical Therapy/Occupational Therapy staff
