Job Summary (Senior Oracle/SQL Database Administrator):


- Serve as the sole DBA responsible for maintaining and optimizing critical Oracle (v19) and SQL Server (2019/2022) databases
- Perform 80% hands-on DBA work and 20% project coordination
- Provide on-call support for emergency issues and participate in monthly after-hours release cycles
- Collaborate closely with project manager and development manager
- Operate independently to identify opportunities, solve problems, and maintain high attention to detail
- Administer databases on Linux and Windows environments
- Manage Exadata, RMAN, OEM, and shell scripting tasks
- Ensure robust backup and disaster recovery strategies
- Perform SQL profiling, index tuning, and PL/SQL scripting
- Coordinate and manage projects as needed
- Document procedures, changes, and troubleshooting steps thoroughly
- Uphold strong communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills
- Be available for emergencies and scheduled after-hours work
- Work fully onsite in Dallas, TX, with potential for a 4-day onsite schedule after initial months
- No visa sponsorship available; must be able to convert to permanent without sponsorship
