Microbiology Lab Technician
Location: Lakewood, NJ
Type: Contract (3–6 months, possibility to extend; conversion not likely)
Schedule: 2nd Shift, Monday–Friday, 3:00 PM – 11:00 PM (training may occur on 1st shift)
Compensation: $30–$33 per hour
Work Model: Onsite
Overview:
System One is seeking a Lab Technician to support a leading dental products manufacturer in Lakewood, NJ. This is a hands-on role responsible for performing microbiological testing and analytical support to ensure compliance with specifications, SOPs, and GMP standards. The position is contract-based, with potential to extend, and offers an opportunity to contribute to quality testing, validation, and R&D projects.
Requirements:
Associate’s degree or equivalent coursework in a Science field (recent Bachelor’s graduates with relevant hands-on lab experience considered)
Proficiency with Microsoft Word and Excel
Experience with microbiological testing (Micro Testing)
Familiarity with GMP and laboratory SOPs preferred
Responsibilities:
Perform raw material, bulk, and finished product analysis according to current specifications and SOPs
Verify vendor Certificates of Analysis for raw materials
Conduct microbiological testing for dental products
Review notebooks and reports from other analysts
Maintain and standardize laboratory equipment and prepare solutions
Quarantine non-compliant raw materials, bulk, or finished products
Support plant validations, stability studies, and R&D test requests through analytical testing
Adhere to GMP, SOPs, job safety guidelines, and PPE requirements
Maintain a clean, organized, and compliant laboratory environment
Perform additional duties as assigned
