Purpose of Position:
The Process Technician will support engineering activities for transition to manufacturing and administration of documentation control.


Day to Day Responsibilities:

  • Create methods of manufacturing for top level assemblies and subassemblies, assembly related fixtures, and experiments.
  • Creates part masters for parts and assemblies.
  • Day to day administration of document control and configuration management to include but no limited to the final approval of documents into the document management system, creating program folders, adding and removing users, assisting users, and documenting and maintaining the process.

Travel Requirements :
Possible occasional travel to other Corning sites (<2 times per year)


Education & Experience:

  • High school diploma required, associate’s degree or higher preferred.
  • 5+ years of experience in the general area of documentation control is required.
  • Experience with documentation management software is desired. Synergis Adept preferred.
  • Experience with MRP / ERP systems is desired. Epicor or SAP preferred.
  • Experience handling and securing Unclassified Controlled Information (CUI), ITAR is desired.


Desired Skills:

  • Organized, meticulous attention to detail, self-starter, and motivated.
  • Proficient use of Microsoft Office Tools (PowerPoint, Excel, Word, Teams, Outlook)
  • Problem solving and troubleshooting.
  • Written and oral communication.
  • Ability to work well in a team.

The range for this position is $59,029.00 - $81,165.00 assuming full time status. Starting pay for the successful applicant is dependent on a variety of job-related factors, including but not limited to geographic location, market demands, experience, training, and education.
