**MANTECH** seeks a motivated, career and customer-oriented **Lead** **Data Engineer** to join our Data and AI Practice onsite in **Chantilly and/or Herndon, VA** . You will be a part of a dynamic, cross-functional team focused on transforming how Government clients extract insights from data to achieve critical mission objectives. This leadership role involves guiding a team and collaborating with others to implement this transformative process. You will be responsible for providing expert guidance and support in the analysis, design, implementation, and optimization of complex, enterprise-wide, cloud-based data migration solutions that align with mission goals and requirements. **Responsibilities include but are not limited to:** · Lead the design, development, and deployment of robust data pipelines to ingest, transform, and integrate data from various systems and networks, ensuring seamless data flow. · Collaborate with cloud and system architects to establish secure and efficient data transfer protocols among different networks and systems. · Work with data consumers to develop data requirements to support analytics and machine learning tasks. · Implement data pipelines and data storage solutions to support analytic workflows. · Optimize data pipelines and storage solutions for performance, ensuring low latency and high throughput for real-time and batch data processing. · Implement robust security measures to protect sensitive data and ensure compliance with relevant data security policies and practices. **Minimum Qualifications:** · Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field and at least 10 years of experience in data engineering, data architecture, or related roles · Experience with data replication and change data capture tools such as Oracle GoldenGate · Experience with cloud services from providers such as Oracle and their data storage and database services · Demonstrated ability to lead and manage a team of engineers · Direct line management experience, including project, people, customer, and financial management · Experience with data warehousing, data lakes, and big data technologies · Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, Java, or SQL. Experience with SQL and NoSQL databases **Preferred Qualifications:** · Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field. · Familiarity with data security and compliance frameworks (e.g., NIST framework). · Cloud certifications such as AWS Certified Developer, Oracle Cloud Infrastructure. · Familiarity with records management policies and procedure. · Familiarity with big data technologies like Hadoop, Spark, and Kafka. · Knowledge of data governance and metadata management. **Clearance Requirements:** · Must possess a current and active TS/SCI with polygraph **Physical Requirements:** · Must be able to be in a stationary position more than 50% of the time · Must be able to communicate, converse, and exchange information with peers and senior personnel · Constantly operates a computer and other office productivity machinery, such as a computer · The person in this position frequently communicates with co-workers, management, and customers, which may involve delivering presentations.
