**Organization:**
CPMC-California Pacific Med Center - Mission Bernal
**Position Overview:**
Under general supervision, this position provides the collection of blood specimens by venipuncture and skin puncture, accessioning, labeling, and processing of all specimens in the Clinical Laboratory. Assists licensed laboratory personnel by performing certain limited duties as permitted under CABPC 1269.

**EDUCATION**
HS Diploma or GED or equivalent education/experience
**PREFERRED EXPERIENCE AS TYPICALLY ACQUIRED IN:**
At least one (1) year experience and/or training as a laboratory assistant.
**SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE**
+ Knowledge of software applications such as MS Word and Excel.
+ Ability to read, write, and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.
+ Ability to effectively present information to other employees of the organization.
+ Requires the ability to apply independent judgment while carrying out written and/or oral instructions, deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations and work with Laboratory Information System. (LIS).

Pay Range is $30.31 to $40.32 / hour
_The salary range for this role may vary above or below the posted range as determined by location. This range has not been adjusted for any specific geographic differential applicable by area where the position may be filled. Compensation takes into account several factors including but not limited to a candidate's experience, education, skills, licensure and certifications, department equity, training and organizational needs.
