Electrification & Automation

The Electrification & Automation (E&A) Business Unit offers the full range of energy distribution systems and solutions for all markets and through all sales channels. We provide reliable power distribution grids of today while investing in our Future Grids portfolio to create the power distribution grid of the future.

We are looking for a Machine Operator to join our team! This position will be based at our Wendell Manufacturing site.

The Machine Operator will be responsible for operating and maintaining Komax wire processing equipment to produce high-quality wire harnesses and cable assemblies in a production environment. This role requires technical skills, attention to detail, and a dedication to safety and quality.

Shift Hours:

3:00PM- 11:30PM

Hourly Rate:

$22.46 + $1.00 Shift Differential

You’ll win us over by having the following qualifications:

Basic Qualifications:

* Strong mechanical competence, troubleshooting proficiency, and attention to detail with a dedication to quality.

* Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics, technical documentation, and blueprints, including identifying and matching wiring harness components to engineered prints.

* Experience with wire harness and cable assembly production, as well as proficiency in computerized machine controls and data entry.

* Skilled in using basic measuring tools such as a measuring tape and calipers.

* Ability to work standing for the duration of a shift, as well as stoop, bend, squat, crawl, and climb as needed.

* Ability to work as part of a team and physically handle materials, including reaching, grasping, lifting up to 50 lbs. and pushing/pulling/sliding material.

* Legally authorized to work in the United States on a continual and permanent basis without company sponsorship.

Preferred Qualifications:

* 1+ years of experience operating wire processing equipment, preferably Komax machines

* High school diploma or equivalent

* Formal training or certification in industrial machinery operation

* Experience working in a manufacturing or production environment

* Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles

* Strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills

You’ll make an impact by:

* Set up, operate, and monitor Komax wire processing machines, including cut-and-strip, crimping, and twisting machines.

* Perform routine maintenance, troubleshooting, and ensure accurate machine functioning.

* Inspect finished wire products for quality and document production data, machine settings, and any issues.

* Maintain a clean, organized work area and adhere to all safety protocols, including wearing required PPE.

* Produce wiring harnesses according to the production schedule and collaborate with supervisors and engineers to improve processes.

* Perform additional duties as assigned by Supervisor or Management.
