Job Description

Our client is seeking a highly skilled HVAC CAD Operator to join their team. In this role, you will be responsible for creating and modifying detailed HVAC system designs and layouts using computer-aided design (CAD) software. The ideal candidate will have experience working with HVAC systems, be proficient in CAD software, and have a keen eye for accuracy and detail.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design and Drafting:

  • Create detailed HVAC system drawings, including ductwork, piping, and equipment layouts.
  • Ensure designs comply with project specifications, codes, and regulations.

• Collaboration:

  • Work closely with engineers and project managers to understand project requirements and modify designs as needed.
  • Review and incorporate feedback from clients and other stakeholders into design revisions.

• Quality Control:

  • Perform detailed checks of CAD drawings for accuracy, completeness, and conformity to standards.
  • Coordinate with field technicians to ensure designs are feasible for installation.

• System Coordination:

  • Assist in coordinating HVAC systems with other building systems (electrical, plumbing, structural).
  • Ensure that HVAC systems integrate smoothly into the overall building design.

• Documentation and Reporting:

  • Maintain up-to-date records of drawings and revisions.
  • Prepare and submit design documents and progress reports to management.

Qualifications:

• Education:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Associate’s degree or certification in CAD drafting, HVAC technology, or a related field preferred.

• Experience:

  • 2+ years of experience working as a CAD operator, specifically with HVAC systems.
  • Experience using CAD software, such as AutoCAD, Revit, or similar programs.

• Skills:

  • Proficiency in CAD software for HVAC system design.
  • Strong understanding of HVAC systems, components, and installation practices.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and schematics.
  • Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.

• Attributes:
