Grounds Worker Summary
We are seeking a reliable and hardworking Grounds Worker to join our team. This role involves traveling to multiple properties in the Ann Arbor area to perform year-round grounds maintenance and light property upkeep. You will operate trucks and trailers, handle a variety of tools and chemicals, and work both independently and as part of a crew to ensure properties remain safe, attractive, and well-maintained.

Schedule: Monday–Friday, 40 hours/week

Location: Ann Arbor, MI & Surrounding Areas

Grounds Worker Key Responsibilities

• Travel to assigned properties in the Ann Arbor and surrounding areas.
• Operate and maintain trucks, trailers, lawnmowers, weed wackers, blowers, and other grounds equipment.
• Perform lawn care tasks, including mowing, weed wacking, edging, and trimming.
• Apply fertilizers, pesticides, and other treatments safely and according to guidelines.
• Handle seasonal work such as fall clean-up, leaf removal, snow removal, and salt application.
• Be available for flexible scheduling, including early mornings, evenings, and weekends during snow events.
• Maintain tools, equipment, and vehicles in clean and working order.
• Follow all safety protocols, especially when handling chemicals and operating equipment.
• Complete assigned tasks on schedule while maintaining a high level of quality and attention to detail.

Grounds Worker Requirements

• Valid driver's license
• Ability to drive a truck and trailer safely.
• Previous grounds maintenance, landscaping, or related experience preferred.
• Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
• Capable of lifting 50+ pounds and performing physically demanding tasks.
• Strong work ethic, reliability, and attention to detail.
• Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends, during peak seasonal demands.
