Job Description
Essential Job Functions:
- Manually adds dry sugar to blending tank to make blends.
- Loads product to correct trailer and at correct weight; documents and verifies all paperwork and seal numbers.
- Maintains all related paperwork.
- Inspects trailers before loading.
- Manages liquid storage tanks.
- Sanitizes blend tanks on a bi-weekly basis.
- Scales and moves trailers when needed.
- Cleans work area.
- Any other duties as requested, directed or assigned by the manager/supervisor.
- Safety training and certifications as required.
- Designated Safety Sensitive Position
Job Requirements
Education and Experience (Licenses and Certifications):
- High school diploma or GED
- Experience in food processing environment helpful
- Equipment to Be Used:
- All equipment for blending product as specified
- Forklift
- Yard truck
Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- Working knowledge of methods, materials and tools used in food production.
- Ability to perform manual work requiring periods of extensive physical exertion.
- Ability to meet attendance schedule with dependability and consistency.
- Ability to work under stress with interruptions and deadlines.
- Ability to understand and interpret a variety of instructions in written, oral, diagram or schedule form as they pertain to production.
- Basic reading, writing, mathematical abilities
- Mechanical aptitude
- Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram or schedule form.
- Ability to think logically in following procedures and instructions.
Essential Physical Demands:
- Prolonged periods standing and walking, using tools and performing repetitive actions.
- Must be able to lift 100lbs at a time.
- Visual acuity to read instructions and operate machines.
- A separate, complete document of physical demands is attached.
Working Hours:
- Standard working hours for 2nd shift are: 3pm – 11pm Monday through Friday and as necessary to complete the requirements of the position.
- Overtime may be required, and hours are subject to change based on company needs.
- Employees are required to clock in 10 minutes before the beginning of the shift.
