Job Description

Essential Job Functions:

• Manually adds dry sugar to blending tank to make blends.
• Loads product to correct trailer and at correct weight; documents and verifies all paperwork and seal numbers.
• Maintains all related paperwork.
• Inspects trailers before loading.
• Manages liquid storage tanks.
• Sanitizes blend tanks on a bi-weekly basis.
• Scales and moves trailers when needed.
• Cleans work area.
• Any other duties as requested, directed or assigned by the manager/supervisor.
• Safety training and certifications as required.
• Designated Safety Sensitive Position 

Job Requirements

Education and Experience (Licenses and Certifications):

• High school diploma or GED
• Experience in food processing environment helpful 
• Equipment to Be Used:
• All equipment for blending product as specified
• Forklift
• Yard truck

Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

• Working knowledge of methods, materials and tools used in food production.
• Ability to perform manual work requiring periods of extensive physical exertion.
• Ability to meet attendance schedule with dependability and consistency. 
• Ability to work under stress with interruptions and deadlines.
•  Ability to understand and interpret a variety of instructions in written, oral, diagram or schedule form as they pertain to production.
• Basic reading, writing, mathematical abilities
• Mechanical aptitude
• Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram or schedule form.
• Ability to think logically in following procedures and instructions.

Essential Physical Demands:

• Prolonged periods standing and walking, using tools and performing repetitive actions.
• Must be able to lift 100lbs at a time.
• Visual acuity to read instructions and operate machines.
• A separate, complete document of physical demands is attached.

Working Hours:

• Standard working hours for 2nd shift are: 3pm – 11pm Monday through Friday and as necessary to complete the requirements of the position.
• Overtime may be required, and hours are subject to change based on company needs.
• Employees are required to clock in 10 minutes before the beginning of the shift.
