Be part of our journey — where compassion meets leadership. Key Accountabilities: - Develop and execute detailed project timelines for startup activities, inspections, licensing, and regulatory compliance.
- Coordinate with vendors, regulatory agencies, and staff to ensure milestones are met.
- Oversee equipment installation, staff onboarding, and operational procedures.
- Maintain strict adherence to Nebraska funeral industry regulations and licensing requirements.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for project updates and stakeholder communication.
- Support staff training, community outreach, and operational planning during startup phases.
- Be available on-call during critical phases, with increased hours as the project progresses
Minimum Requirements: - State of Nebraska Funeral Director license
- Proven experience in funeral service management, operations, or leadership.
- Excellent organizational, communication, problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Strong understanding of funeral industry regulations and licensing processes.
- Collaborative team player with a passion for community service.
- Self-starter able to work independently and adapt in a dynamic environment.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.
- Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong supervisory and leadership skills.
- Ability to prioritize tasks and to delegate them when appropriate.
- Thorough understanding of or the ability to quickly learn about the project or product being developed.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
Physical Demands - Environment - Work is both indoors and outdoors during all seasons and weather
- Attire - professional business attire required when in contact with families
- Postures – Frequent continuous period of time sitting or standing up to 6 hours per day; frequently climbing stairs to access buildings.
- Physical Demands – Physical effort requiring manual dexterity is required, includes paperwork, calculators, computers and phone usage.
- Ability to push and pull up to 150 pounds on flat and inclined flooring or ramp.
