Job Title: Electrical Estimator Job Description This position offers an exciting opportunity for an experienced Electrical Estimator to join our team primarily from a remote setting, based out of the Houston office. The role requires a strong experience in electrical estimating for substations and/or transmission and distribution projects. Travel is minimal, providing a great work-life balance. Responsibilities + Assist two chief estimators with various tasks. + Conduct quantity take-offs and prepare bid packages. + Manage subcontractor/bid procurement processes. + Handle RFI management during the bid period. + Ensure effective cost control and scheduling. + Maintain subcontractor relations and oversee P&L. + Deliver high-quality and competitive bid analysis. Essential Skills + Proficiency in electrical estimation and electrical construction. + Experience with substations and electrical estimating. + Strong skills in Microsoft Excel and estimating software. Additional Skills & Qualifications + 3+ years of estimating experience. + Experience in estimating civil projects is a plus. + Proficiency in Timberline or Sage 300 software. + Proficiency in Bluebeam or OnScreen software. + Post-secondary education in a business administration-related discipline is desirable. Work Environment The role is primarily remote, with the candidate preferably located in the Southwest or Texas region. Occasional travel to the office or job site for site visits may be required, up to once a month. The candidate will report to two Chief Estimators who will provide training in estimating as needed. The Chief Civil Estimator is located in Omaha, NE, and the Chief Electrical Estimator is local to Phoenix. Job Type & Location This is a Permanent position based out of Phoenix, AZ. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $85000.00 - $125000.00/yr. Can provide benefit info when candidates are in the interview stage. Workplace Type This is a fully remote position.
