Job Overview

In this exciting role at our Washington, D.C.-based trade association, we are looking for a driven, creative and digitally forward-thinking individual to join our communications team. As part of Farm Credit’s reputation management strategy, this position helps build and maintain our reputation in Washington, D.C. and across the country. This role is central to executing strategy and advancing our national brand by creating compelling imagery and graphics that keep our social media campaigns fresh and collateral materials engaging. In addition, this person will support our website, meetings, events and membership databases. Successful candidates will bring a fresh perspective, strong initiative and a detail-oriented approach to work every day.

In addition to an annual bonus opportunity and competitive benefits, the salary range for this position is $61,000-92,000 annually. Additionally, FCC allows employees to work remotely on Mondays and Fridays.

Job Responsibilities

  • Serves as the primary designer for Farm Credit’s social media channels by creating engaging graphics, imagery and short-form videos.
  • Collaborate with the communications team to ensure a consistent and creative approach across all Farm Credit channels.
  • Partners with the entire communications team to ensure creative projects are completed in a timely manner.
  • Upholds Farm Credit national brand standards by ensuring consistency across all print and digital materials. Design and maintain fact sheets highlighting Farm Credit’s impact nationwide.
  • Updates and maintains content on FarmCredit.com, including designing new pages as needed.
  • Works with colleagues to create marketing materials for Farm Credit-sponsored events and meetings.
  • Applies user experience (UX) best practices when creating graphics for event registration pages and mobile apps.
  • Manages Farm Credit’s digital asset library (Web Dam) and provides collateral support to Farm Credit associations.
  • Oversees relationships with association membership software vendors.
  • Updates and maintains Farm Credit membership data across all databases, including FarmCredit.com.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree required, preferably in Communications, Marketing or Graphic Design.
  • Minimum of 2 years’ experience in communications, graphic design or marketing.
  • Proficiency with Adobe Creative Cloud and experience creating graphics required.
  • Experience with website management (Drupal, WordPress and/or equivalent) preferred.
  • Experience with video editing software (Adobe Premiere Pro or Final Cut Pro) preferred.
  • Knowledge of how to optimize graphics for engagement on Facebook, Twitter, Instagram and LinkedIn are required.
  • Knowledge and understanding of current trends and best practices in digital/social media and design - not just personally, but professionally representing a brand, organization or company voice.
  • Knowledge of Congress, the administration and the political process preferred.
  • Project management experience preferred.
  • Working knowledge of user experience (UX) design preferred.
  • Strong writing, editing and proofreading skills required.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment required.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel and PowerPoint required.
  • Strong organizational skills with attention to detail and a high degree of accuracy.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills required.
  • Maintains confidentiality as required and supports the core values and mission of the organization.
  • Position may require minimal travel.
