Chief Marketing Officer (CMO) – Michelin-Starred Restaurant Group

The Opportunity: We are seeking a highly accomplished and innovative Chief Marketing Officer (CMO) to lead and define the marketing strategy for our entire portfolio of Michelin-starred and high-end restaurants. This critical leadership role will be responsible for enhancing our brand prestige, driving customer engagement, and ultimately contributing to the sustained growth and success of the group. The CMO will be instrumental in shaping our narrative, expanding our reach, and ensuring our marketing efforts reflect the exceptional quality and unique identity of each of our establishments.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Strategic Marketing Leadership & Vision:

    • Develop and execute a comprehensive, integrated marketing and brand strategy that aligns with the group's overall business objectives, brand identity, and Michelin-level standards.

    • Define and articulate the unique value proposition and brand story for the overarching group, as well as for individual restaurant concepts within the portfolio.

    • Identify market trends, competitive landscapes, and consumer insights to inform marketing strategies and identify new growth opportunities.

    • Contribute to the long-term strategic planning for the restaurant group, including expansion initiatives and new concept development from a marketing perspective.

  • Brand Management & Reputation:

    • Safeguard and elevate the prestige and reputation of our Michelin-starred brands through consistent, high-quality marketing communications and initiatives.

    • Oversee all aspects of brand identity, messaging, visual assets, and voice across all channels.

    • Manage public relations and media relations strategies to secure positive coverage and manage brand perception.

    • Develop crisis communication plans and manage brand-related issues effectively.

  • Digital Marketing & CRM:

    • Lead the development and execution of robust digital marketing strategies, including SEO/SEM, social media marketing, email marketing, content marketing, and online advertising.

    • Oversee the management of the group's websites and online presence, ensuring they are world-class and optimized for user experience and conversion.

    • Implement and optimize CRM strategies to build customer loyalty, drive repeat visits, and personalize guest experiences.

    • Leverage data analytics to track campaign performance, understand customer behavior, and optimize marketing spend.

  • Content Creation & Storytelling:

    • Develop compelling content strategies that showcase the culinary artistry, unique atmospheres, and exceptional service of our restaurants.

    • Oversee the creation of high-quality marketing collateral, including photography, videography, written content, and promotional materials.

    • Champion innovative storytelling that resonates with our target audience and reinforces our position as leaders in fine dining.

  • Partnerships & Collaborations:

    • Identify and forge strategic partnerships with luxury brands, media outlets, culinary influencers, and other relevant entities to expand brand reach and create unique marketing opportunities.

    • Oversee collaborations for special events, chef dinners, and promotional activities.

  • Team Leadership & Development:

    • Build, mentor, and lead a high-performing marketing team, fostering a culture of creativity, innovation, and accountability.

    • Manage external agencies and vendors to ensure seamless execution of marketing initiatives.

    • Oversee marketing budgets and ensure efficient allocation of resources.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business Administration, or a related field (Master's preferred).

  • Minimum of 12-15 years of progressive marketing leadership experience, with at least 5-7 years in a senior marketing role (e.g., VP of Marketing, CMO).

  • Non-negotiable: Proven and extensive marketing experience within the high-end restaurant, luxury hospitality, or premium lifestyle sectors, specifically with a strong understanding of the marketing nuances of Michelin-starred or equivalent fine dining environments.

  • Demonstrated success in developing and executing comprehensive marketing strategies that have significantly impacted brand recognition and revenue growth.

  • Expertise across the full marketing mix, including digital marketing, brand management, PR, content creation, and CRM.

  • Exceptional understanding of the luxury consumer and experience in crafting bespoke marketing experiences.

  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data, derive insights, and make data-driven decisions.

  • Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate across all levels of the organization.
