The Position

Our client is seeking to fill a Chief Administrative Officer role in the greater New York, NY area. The selected candidate will be responsible for the overall direction and execution of the Bank’s core operations that include retail branches, central/deposit, operations, online/mobile banking, cash management, and Bank Secrecy Act and Anti-Money Laundering (BSA/AML).

The position includes a salary of up to $205K plus a generous bonus and excellent benefits package.

Chief Administrative Officer responsibilities include:

  • Ensuring that all operational aspects of the Bank’s activities operate in a safe and sound manner in the best interest of shareholders, the Board of Directors, customers, employees, and the public.
  • Partnering with CEO and Senior Management to develop and execute on strategic vision.
  • Overseeing the Marketing Department, developing short- and long-range marketing objectives and performance standards for measuring progress and recommending appropriate policies regarding pricing, promotion, product, and marketing plans.
  • Supervising and working closely with management to ensure the operational effectiveness, sustainability, and resiliency of the Bank.
  • Driving change and improvement by convening, informing, supporting, influencing and mentoring.
  • Ensuring all Bank operations and IT are effectively integrated to achieve the best possible outcomes by providing oversight and direction to the IT and Data Analytics teams.
  • Coordinating efforts with the Bank’s CFO on the budget; including monitoring and expense controls.
  • Developing and implementing strategies to accommodate current and future organizational plans, programs, and needs.
  • Establishing the first line of contact with Internal Auditors while ensuring delivery and accuracy of data for all audits.
  • Participating in appropriate committees, such as the Asset/Liability Committee, IT Steering Committee, and others.
  • Providing the highest level of customer relations and service; and ensuring compliance with Bank policies, procedures, and processes as well as regulatory compliance.
  • Performing supervisory duties of department staff, coordinating staff for coverage in all related areas of the department.
  • Maintaining a strong, open line of communications with the Board of Directors, Management and staff.
  • Synthesizing complex or diverse information; collecting and researching data; using intuition and experience to complement data; designing workflows and procedures.
  • Coordinating the opening of new and moving of existing branches and locations including heading the regulatory processes for such changes.
  • Participating in community organizations and events to enhance the image and reputation of the Bank in the communities that they serve or plan to serve.

You also bring the following skills and experience:

  • B.S. /B.A. in management or business administration, with a heavy concentration in the technological side of business administration.
  • Master’s Degree preferred.
  • Ten or more years of experience in the banking industry as an executive officer, with an operations focus and strategic visionary in a fin-tech environment.
  • Experience in managing IT vendor relationships.
  • Strong working knowledge of management strategies, customer relations, retail banking, lending and implementation of new technologies.
  • Outstanding leadership skills.
  • Demonstrate strategic planning skills.
  • Thorough knowledge of bank operations.
  • Strong written and oral communication skills.
  • Proven leadership skills.
  • Proficient in the use of MS Office Suite
  • Exceptional oral and written communication skills
  • Excellent organization skills and ability to stay productive in a high growth, dynamic environment.
