Seeking a highly skilled Business Analyst Consultant to support our Risk Adjustment and Quality initiatives. This role requires a dynamic professional who excels in data analysis, operational modeling, and cross-functional project leadership. The consultant will play a critical role in analyzing, reviewing, forecasting, trending, and presenting data to drive both short- and long-term business strategies and operational planning.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Analyze and interpret data to identify trends, forecast performance, and support business decision-making
  • Develop and maintain operational dashboards, models, and tools to support Risk Adjustment and Quality programs
  • Facilitate cross-functional meetings with vendors, IT developers, and client-side Risk Adjustment and Quality teams
  • Oversee creation of detailed project plans and milestones specific to data analysis activities
  • Assess risks, formulate mitigation strategies, and set priorities based on data availability and business needs
  • Present actionable recommendations and solution options to both internal teams and external clients
  • Coordinate working groups and project teams across departments and functional areas
  • Guide and participate in testing efforts, including quality assurance (QA), user acceptance testing (UAT), and end-to-end provider testing
  • Write and maintain documentation for test plans, design validation, business requirements, and system integration
  • Provide subject matter expertise on data flow, business logic, and operational processes for Risk Adjustment and Quality programs

Required Qualifications

  • 3+ years of experience leveraging SQL
  • 3+ years of experience in healthcare analytics or data analytics
  • Demonstrated experience in business analysis, data modeling, and project management within healthcare
  • Demonstrated understanding of Risk Adjustment and/or Quality measurement programs
  • Demonstrated experience leading cross-functional initiatives involving IT, clinical operations, and analytics teams
  • Demonstrated knowledge of Solution delivery life cycle and agile methodologies to participate on a matrixed team
  • Experience creating and managing project documentation, stakeholder communications, and test scripts
  • Demonstrated facilitation, organizational, and communication skills
  • Ability to handle multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment

Preferred Qualifications

  • Knowledge of HEDIS, CMS guidelines, and RAF/ICD data structures
  • Experience with data visualization and reporting tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI)

The salary range for this role is $89,800 to $176,700 annually based on full-time employment. Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. UnitedHealth Group complies with all minimum wage laws as applicable. In addition to your salary, UnitedHealth Group offers benefits such as, a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase and 401k contribution (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements).
