Lockheed Martin Aeronautics is seeking Summer 2026 Intern Aeronautical Engineer for Propulsion\. In this role, you will research, define, analyze, develop, design, provide technical supplier management, test, and integrate mechanical and fluid systems to support power & thermal management systems\. Includes engine performance modeling and analysis with installation effects, engine and controls integration, and internal flowpath analysis and design\. Performs requirements definition in coordination with systems engineering\. Develops, reviews, and maintains engineering drawings and models\. Supports propulsion system testing, production, and sustainment activities\. Ensures program objectives are accomplished through troubleshooting and systems subject matter expertise to assist in maintenance and delivery of effective technical data\. The successful candidate will have experience and/or knowledge of a Bachelor's degree in Aeronautical/Aerospace or Mechanical Engineering with related technical coursework\.
Must be a US Citizen\. This position will require a government security clearance\. This position is located at a facility that requires special access\.
**Basic Qualifications:**
\- Pursuing Bachelor's degree in Aeronautical/Aerospace or Mechanical Engineering
\-Physics Coursework
\-Thermodynamics/Mechanics coursework
\-Programming Coursework \(Fortran, Python, Matlab, etc\.\)
Must be a US Citizen; this position will require a government security clearance\. This position is located at a facility that requires special access\.

\- NPSS Experience
\- CATIA Experience
\- Candidate must work well individually and with team members across multiple organizations\.
\- Microsoft Office Skills \- of particular importance: Outlook, PowerPoint, Excel, Word, and Project

**Work Schedules:** Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees\. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed\. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits\.
