Addiction Psychiatrist – Kern County, CA 93301 (#R10039)
$230/hr | Full-Time or Part-Time | Government-Supported Role

Greenlife Healthcare Staffing is hiring an Addiction Psychiatrist to join KernBHRS, a county-based program serving Medi-Cal recipients and uninsured patients in Kern County, CA. This role combines clinical impact with academic leadership.

• $230/hour + benefits (health, sick days, matching 401k)
• Flexible full-time or part-time options.
• Academic involvement through the UCLA-Kern Fellowship.
• Serve a high-need population with meaningful outcomes.

Schedule Options:

• Full-Time – 40 hrs/week (8-hr day shifts)
• Activities include: 14–16 med management sessions, 4 evaluations, 2–3 hrs of supervision.
• Part-Time – 20–30 hrs/week.
• Proportional clinical duties and supervision.

Key Responsibilities:

• Treat patients with co-occurring SUD and mental health disorders.
• Lead MAT (e.g., buprenorphine, naltrexone) and ensure compliance.
• Supervise Addiction Medicine Fellows & help develop training curriculum.
• Conduct case consultations with multidisciplinary teams.
• Use ASAM Criteria for evaluations and treatment planning.

Qualifications:

• Active California Medical License.
• Board Certified/Eligible in Addiction Psychiatry (ABPN)
• Experience with MAT and dual-diagnosis treatment.
• Academic teaching/supervision experience preferred.
