Taking applications for Summer 2026 E-Commerce Intern

As a leading employer on the Outer Banks for over 40 years, Kitty Hawk Kites is hiring an E-Commerce Intern for 2026! Internships last a minimum of 12 weeks. This is an internship role within the eCommerce and buying team. This person provides administrative support to the E-Commerce Buyer, Online Sales Manager, and E-Commerce Warehouse Manager. 

Key Responsibilities: 
• Provide essential support to the E-Commerce team to ensure the department runs smoothly
• Day to day administrative support. You will actively support the buying team, taking phone calls, responding to store communication and vendor requests. 
• Support Team with necessary information they need for their department.
• Input information regarding orders and inventory management accurately. 
• Respond to supplier calls and store queries.
• To adapt to the needs of the E-Commerce Team and respond to ad hoc requests relevant to the role.
• May assist with inventory processing and retail operations. 
• Commitment to core values. 
• Strong Customer Service Skills
• Your work week will be 40 Hours and up to 6 days with opportunities for Overtime.

• Demonstrates an interest in retail and shows an ability to comprehend figures.
• Self-starter and willingness to learn.
• Attention to detail and thorough follow-up. 
• Can work independently or as part of a team.
• Good communication skills.
• PC Computer Skills, Microsoft Windows, Outlook and Excel Proficiency required.
• Capacity to learn new reporting and software quickly. 
• Previous purchasing department experience helpful but not required.
